Fashion that makes every drop count

Protect our planet's water by choosing items made with less thirsty methods or materials.

Water conservation

A thirsty industry

Something needs to change

Less than 1% of our planet's water is suitable to drink. The fashion industry adds to this issue, relying on crops and processes that can pollute waterways. However, there are ways to make every drop count. Organic cotton requires up to 90% less water than conventional cotton, and standards such as bluesign® and the Leather Working Group indicate products that handle water with care.

Behind the criteria

How we set our standards

We want to drive positive change in the fashion industry by highlighting products that exceed our sustainability standards. To determine these standards, we use data from independent certifications and the Higg Material Sustainability Index. The Higg MSI is the industry's most comprehensive tool for measuring the environmental impact of materials. These help us identify products that are leading the way, as well as opportunities for improvement. Our ultimate aim is to provide transparent and trustworthy information that enables you to make more sustainable choices.

Tips and tricks

Wash smarter, not harder

A simple way to cut down your water usage is to wash your clothes less. Spot clean small stains, then wash on a gentle cycle when required. You can even get rid of odour in your jeans between washes by hanging them outside to air, or by leaving them in your freezer overnight.
